Summary

Coordinate all Customer Service & Support activities and programs to ensure a safe, healthy, accident-free, and productive work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities
  • Process and log yard sorts
    • Receive yard sort requests
    • Develop system for logging requests, including purpose, lead, start and end times, as well as sort team members.
    • Log sorts onto computer, including start and end times.
    • Find Veles data as requested by operations.
    • Report results via email or spreadsheet.
  • Monitor yard sort teams
    • Visually monitor yard sort teams and quality of work and number of participants.
    • Observe proper procedures and team wear of all sort team members.
    • Ask questions to team lead as needed.
    • Respond to sort team members as requested.
  • Inspect truck loading area and yard
    • Inspect the truck load lanes each hour to ensure cleanliness.
    • Report any spills or trash to the driver or carrier office.
    • Log inspection results in logbook.
    • Perform light clean up (pick up small trash) when easily accomplished.
    • Notify Customer Service Manager and Facilities Maintenance of a spill.
    • Close any vehicle doors found open or windows found open.
    • Survey yard for visitors
  • Monitor and troubleshoot IT problems
    • Monitor phone and email communications.
    • Use Veles to place vehicles on hold, or release holds as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Skills
  • Ability to work effectively in group/team settings.
  • Ability to respond to Customer queries.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications to include Excel experience.
  • Knowledge of customer service and support regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of VELES system is a plus
  • Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
  • Lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Stand/walk
